eightseconds wins both Gold and Silver from Communicator Awards
Our work on the Eye Candy web site has garnered two more design awards from the International Academy of the Visual Arts; a Gold Medal Standard of Excellence in the Fashion category, and a Silver Medal of Distinction in the Beauty and Cosmetics category. These make the fifth international design award the Eye Candy website work has garnered. The IAVA Communicator Awards honor creative excellence in Interactive by seeking out the best in Websites, Online Advertising and Marketing and Online Audio and Video Media.

eightseconds launches new brand identity and web site design for Vena - The Varicose Vein Institute
We met with Vena when it was still called Lakeside Vein and Laser. With a new location staked out, Lakeside didn’t hold much value and after initial research was complete, it looked like the old name wouldn’t do much good. eightseconds worked with Vena to research and develop a new name, logo, brand experience and website. Even their business forms got a new look. Although the site is simple, it performs the elements essential to business development in a healthcare field where patients and caregivers decide where to get treatment.

eightseconds wins W3 Award for Eye Candy Eyewear web site
eightseconds wins the Silver award from W3. The W3 Awards are judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. Eye Candy’s website was selected from over 900 entries across the country. 2006 Merit Award Winners for Consumer Websites were awarded to Nike, Tazo Tea, Pontiac and Kitchen Aid, among others.

eightseconds wins WebAward for Eye Candy Eyewear web site
With a questionable economy, Paula Hornbeck, owner of Eye Candy, invested in a new website to establish a strong brand identity and competitive separation. The strategy needed to propel Eye Candy’s brand in its first year made it clear that her website needed to be more than a pretty site. It had to engage potential customers and draw them in. The teamwork paid off this September when Eye Candy’s website won the “Standard Of Excellence in Retail” award from the Web Marketing Association (WMA) competing with national brands around the country.
